The texture of the fibers may change over time when exposed to elements like detergents, water, or heat. We’ve specifically designed these rugs to withstand conditions as best as possible, but these fibers do naturally like to clump together. To keep your rug looking like new, we recommend carefully following the prescribed care instructions.
Washing Instructions
1. Remove the soiled Rug Cover from the Rug Pad and put it in the washer with the pile side facing out.
2. Machine-wash the Rug Cover in cold water on a delicate cycle using a mild, non-bleach detergent.
Drying Instructions
Tumble dry on low or air fluff. You may also hang and air-dry. Do not apply anything more than low heat during the washing and drying process to prevent damage to the fibers of your rug.
Tip: After drying your Rug Cover, comb your fingers through the pile to fluff up its shaggy texture. We have also found rotating bristles that are gentle enough for use on our Rug Covers can often help restore the appearance of higher pile textures like Shag after wash.
